The Pictures of the Year International competition recognized two MediaStorm projects, A Darkness Visible: Afghanistan, and A Thousand More. In its 69th year, POYi honors the world’s best photographers, newspapers, editors, and multimedia producers. A Darkness Visible: Afghanistan, was recognized as both a Finalist in the Documentary Project of the Year category, and honored with an Award of Excellence in the Long Form Documentary category. In addition, A Thousand More, produced during a MediaStorm Advanced Storytelling Workshop, was honored with an Award of Excellence in the category of Feature Multimedia Story.
