The School of Communication and Media (SCM) at Montclair State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Multiplatform Journalism. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching students effectively in the school’s new digital multiplatform newsroom which is under development. This tenure track position requires the ability to teach students hands-on news gathering and production skills using all key mobile devices in the field as well as newsroom-based technology.

Qualifications

For this tenure track faculty position, a Ph.D. or Master’s degree with both teaching and professional experience is desired. Applicants with significant professional experience in the field will also be considered. In addition to teaching and scholarship, the faculty member will also have a strong service responsibility, including advising of students, supervising of student internships and participation in other initiatives in the School of Communication and Media and throughout the University.
