Join Brian Storm at Imprimatur: Unbinding the Book

Imprimatur, a joint effort between indie publishing platform Blurb and the visual arts studio Jotta, is a new global book arts project. Artists and designers are challenged to redefine the concept of what a book can be by creating original books and installations that push the boundaries of how books are experienced. Blurb will be hosting a launch event for the project in New York City on Monday, April 21st, 2014. Join Brian Storm for Storytelling Workshop at the University of Oregon

MediaStorm Executive Producer Brian Storm will visit the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication on February 20th-22nd, 2014 as the 2014 Frazier Journalist-in-Residence. While in attendance Brian will lead workshops for students and participate in discussions with faculty in addition to a leading a public presentation: Multimedia Storytelling @ MediaStorm from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20th in the Ford Alumni Center Ballroom. The Evolution of Video Storytelling Featuring MediaStorm and DCTV

This week Futures Lab, with a little help from Brian Storm, founder and executive producer of MediaStorm, and John Alpert, co-founder and co-executive director of the Downtown Community Television Center in New York, explores how the proliferation of mobile apps and devices impacts visual journalism. The two veteran storytellers share insights about the place of micro-video via apps like Vine and Instagram and the challenges of funding quality work. In the midst of a changing industry and constant innovation, one principle remains: a good story is at the center of everything they do. Digital Storytelling With Brian Storm at the Global21 Fall Conference

On Saturday, November 9th, 2013 MediaStorm's Brian Storm will present Digital Storytelling and the Cinematic Narrative at the Global21 Fall Conference. Citing work by MediaStorm, Brian will emphasize how storytelling continues to evolve as a result of technological innovations and an expanding media universe. The digital age gives filmmakers, documentary photographers and photojournalists extraordinary and unprecedented new ways to tell stories. The conference will take place between Saturday, November 8th and Sunday November 9th. About Global21 Global21 is a network of student-run international-affairs magazines at premier universities around the world. The organization was jumpstarted in 2005 with a $50,000 grant from the Yale Entrepreneurial Society.
