MediaStorm Launches Two New Films for Verse

We are so pleased to announce the launch of two new films with Verse, an immersive interactive storytelling platform. The Last Move and Life After Water are part of a four-story partnership that pairs the MediaStorm storytelling ethos with Verse’s innovative platform. Both films were recently honored by Photographer of the Year International, one of the oldest and most prestigious photojournalism organizations in the world. The Last Move received third place in Documentary Journalism while Life After Water received the Award of Excellence for Multimedia Issue Reporting. MediaStorm’s Andrew Michael Ellis was also recognized as Multimedia Photographer of the Year. POYi Competition Deadline Approaching

The countdown is on to submit entries for Pictures of the Year International's 71st anniversary competition honoring the world's premier documentary photography, multimedia, and visual editing. This year's competition features 44 categories in the divisions of news & reportage, sports, multimedia, editing, publication, and premier. The entry deadline is Thursday, January 16, 2014. Pictures of the Year International 2013 Awardees Announced

MediaStorm is honored to announce we have won second place in the Pictures of the Year International Best Website category. Other winners in this category were the Los Angeles Times, which won first place, and TIME, which won third place. It is always a pleasure and inspiration for us to see the best of the industry's work honored in the annual POYi competition and this year is no exception. 70th Anniversary POYi Competition Open

Pictures of the Year International has launched its 70th anniversary competition to honor the world's premier documentary photography, multimedia, and visual editing. This years' competition features 50 categories, including year-specific categories such as the Olympics and Campaign 2012. Plus, there are two new categories to recognize eBooks in the Best Publications Division. The registration platform is now open. The entry deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013.
