Beyond The Body
An exhibition of the acclaimed sports photography of World Press photographer, Tomasz Gudzowaty.
Acclaimed photographer Tomasz Gudzowaty commissioned MediaStorm to produce a piece to be shown at the 2012 World Press Photo awards, where he received third place for his sports story, Lucha Libre at La Loba.
Gudzowaty was born in Poland in 1971. During the last few years, he has turned his focus primarily toward non-commercial sports. A nine-time World Press Photo award winner, Gudzowaty’s work has also been recognized by several of the premier contests in the industry, including NPPA Best of Photojournalism awards and Pictures of the Year. His photography has been published by The Guardian, Time, Photo and Newsweek.
This piece is an exhibition of his some of his most recent work, an extensive exhibition called “Beyond the Body.”

The Goal
Our client, acclaimed Polish photographer Tomasz Gudzowaty, commissioned us to create an exhibition of his work to be shown at the World Press Photo awards ceremony. The intention of the piece was to showcase his collection of his incredible sports photographs in a compelling manner.
The Solution
Overall, it was an exciting creative process to be able to work with such exceptional photography and have no structured narrative.

The piece was commissioned for display during the 55th World Press Photo awards ceremony in 2012.
