1976 is an explosive exploration of daily life in Cuba. Created by leftchannel, a motion and design firm based in Ohio, the piece sets original photography of Cuba against the driving Latin sounds of RJD2's "1976". The country's sidewalks and back alleys, farmers and chicken coops, old men drowsing and boys playing baseball - all of it morphs together, as characters float in and out, landscapes change, and life pulses along with the beat.
