MediaStorm recently worked with the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling to condense their findings into an interactive guide that makes the information accessible for the public.
Oilfields are always changing, and equipment needs to be updated as well. One way oil companies do this is through a wireline services provider in order to access the machinery necessary for subsurface information that cannot be seen from the surface alone.
A feature video launched last month, and the full site went up this week.
The guide contains:
- a cinematic overview
- an interactive timeline
- a detailed timeline leading up to the well blowout
- a section looking at the effectiveness of the response to the spill
- a section examining the spill’s impact on the surrounding region and environment
- a section offering recommendations for the future
- a resource guide
The Gulf Spill is an important resource for anyone looking to understand what happened, what response local and federal governments had, and what happens going forward.
