Save the Children UK is looking for a new Picture Editor to work on the organization’s Picture Desk. The role is critical to capturing public attention, inspiring supporters, and showing the impact of Save the Children’s work to save children’s lives and challenge world leaders to keep their promises to give children a brighter future.
Position Details
- The role is full time, permanent contract based in London with a salary of £27,000 – £30,000 + pension dependent on experience.
- Work hours are flexible. You will need to be comfortable balancing work on multiple projects and commissioning quality photography in a hectic news driven environment.
- As part of the communications team you will be responsible for commissioning high quality photography, which bears witness to the injustices children face and Save the Children’s work. You will develop, make accessible and disseminate across a number of platforms photography that reflects Save the Children’s brand and accurately represents organizational work within agreed guidelines.
- Applicants should be innovative thinkers capable of conceiving new and compelling ways to tell stories using images. Strong team players and excellent researchers with good knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom software programs are encouraged to apply.
