Exhibition Coordinator
Through exhibits and grant making, the Documentary Photography Project (DPP) explores how photography can shape public perception and effect positive social change. The Documentary Photography Project supports photographers whose work addresses social justice and human rights issues that coincide with the Open Society Foundations’ mission. The Exhibit Coordinator will support staff of Documentary Photography Project to develop and implement programs, specifically the Moving Walls photography exhibition. Primary responsibility will be Moving Walls, but position also includes some administrative support for DPP overall. Work is carried out independently/under general supervision.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates might include those familiar with exhibition production, installation, and shipping procedures (e.g., curatorial assistants, gallery/museum registrars, studio assistants/managers) who are interested in expanding their skills within a social justice organization.
- Candidates must have either exhibition or photography experience (ideally both).
- Superior project management skills, intelligent and analytic thinkers with superior writing skills and a passion for photography and human rights.
