Columbia Journalism School is looking to fill two open faculty positions: one in video/broadcast and another in radio/audio journalism. These are full time faculty positions with generous salary and benefits.

Description

  • Candidates should be pioneers and leaders who are able to demonstrate scholarly and/or professional accomplishments worthy of appointment to a faculty position, including an ability to teach graduate students at a major research university.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
  • This is a position for a leading journalist who has a record of accomplishment and stature in news radio or multimedia journalism.
  • Positions feature a lighter teaching load in comparison to other institutions as Columbia professors are expected to remain productive in their fields.
  • As a full-time member of the faculty, the incumbent will teach at least one course each semester.
  • This position will begin no earlier than July 1, 2014, pending budgetary and administrative approval.
