The nationally recognized School of Journalism & Broadcasting at Western Kentucky University seeks a talented and cutting-edge designer who can teach advanced interactive design concepts and skills across platforms. Applicants should also be able to teach a course in basic Public Relations and/or Advertising. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include research/creative work, student advising and service to the School and University. Employment begins in August 2015.
Description
Ideal candidates must demonstrate excellent user interaction design abilities by applying strategic thinking to their designs and by understanding the importance of user feedback and the relationship between visual design and interaction. Qualifications include:
- Master’s Degree appropriate to the appointment
- Minimum of 5 years of professional media experience or a terminal degree (could be nearing completion) appropriate to the appointment plus 3 years of professional media experience.
- Record of exceptional teaching and service in a professional and/or university setting.
