Description
ViewFind’s Ideal Candidate: You love photography. You know how to tell stories. You are smart. Really smart. And articulate. You believe in the value of photojournalism. You know where to find great photojournalism. You love the idea of being a part of something exciting and new. You have a positive, can-do attitude. You are passionate about issues. You are brimming with ideas about important stories that need to be told. You read and you watch and you listen. You are able and willing to wear a few different hats when necessary. You are exceptionally ethical and expect the same of others.
You’re not a writer, but you know how to write. You understand that captions that tell you what is in the photo do not help the story. You are well connected in the photojournalism world and delight in schmoozing about what we do. You are very active on social media and you understand how it works. You know when you need to start a photo story with the obvious photo because it’s the best choice and when to go for something different. You are not afraid to take risks. You are not afraid of difficult conversations. You are a stellar communicator. You take constructive criticism well and you give it as well.
You have an eye for the unusual. You recognize a great story when you see one. You know how to get things done well and efficiently. You know how to ask for help. If you don’t know the answer, you find out who does. You can multi-task and are organized. People love to work with you. You are completely comfortable around a Mac, photoshop and photo editing software. You thrive on collaboration. You are concerned about the state of the industry and you want to help solve its problems.
