We are confronted with daily assaults of tragedy in the news–stories of war, migration, and the never-ending election cycle. But rarely do these stories give us the a way to connect, to empathize, and to reimagine our own world.
Senain Kheshgi’s new series of short films on the lives of people living in Templehof Refugee Camp in Berlin allows us to do just that. Stories of Human Kind: A Search for Home is a partnership with Save the Children, Johnson & Johnson, and Facebook, and will be distributed by Facebook to over 55 million feeds in the next few weeks.
On the series’ launch, Senain says “There are now more than 65 million people forcibly displaced around the world – we must remember to see them as individuals: nurses, small business owners, students – all seeking safety and security.”
Thank you Senain for making these powerful stories come to life.
