The Next Challenge for Media & Journalism is the largest startup competition open to nonprofit and for-profit media companies in the United States.

Its mission is to promote ideas and startups that are working to reinvent journalism and media in the coming decade.

The Power Platform category will award up to $30,000 to a “technology startup developing powerful ways to share media content across the country and around the globe.”

The MediaStorm Platform is an advanced video platform that extends the user experience beyond linear video to include interactive capabilities and make use of the full canvas of the web.

Voting for the Public Choice Award will take place until May 19.
