From Mike Wilson, editor of The Dallas Morning News: "Though this person will spend some time in the trenches making assignments and dealing with budgets, this is mainly a big-picture job. The right person has an opportunity to put a lasting stamp on our visual report. We're looking for an ideas person, an innovator, an inspirational figure. Our newsroom is newly focused on digital journalism, so we need someone who understands how to conceive and tell stories for an audience that is increasingly finding our work on mobile devices. We also need a teacher, someone who can help our staffers improve their skills and learn new things. It's important to us, always, to assemble a pool of candidates with diverse professional and personal backgrounds." Visit https://www.journalismjobs.com/job-listings/1625994 for more information.
