MediaStorm is launching a series of Advanced Multimedia Workshops. The Workshops are intense, hands-on, educational experiences designed to address advanced original multimedia reporting and post-production. There are three unique Workshop options: Advanced Multimedia Reporting Workshop in New York City Work with a team (reporter, editor and producer) to create an original multimedia piece in New York City. * Workshop One: March 29th-April 5th, 2008 * Workshop Two: April 19th-26th, 2008 * Workshop Three: May 3rd-May 10th, 2008 The application deadline is March 3, 2008. Photo Competitions: World Press Photo Winners, Px3 awards, and an exhibition

Winners for this year's World Press Photo Competition have been announced. British Photographer Tim Hetherington won the 2007 World Press Photo of the Year, for his image of a US soldier resting in a bunker. Other winners include John Moore/Getty Images, who won 1st Place Singles and 1st Place Stories in the Spot News Category, and Balazs Gardi/VII Network/Alexia Foundation, who won 1st Place in both Singles and Stories in the General News Category.
