The Digital Media department at The Metropolitan Museum of Art is seeking a talented Interactive Media Producer to lead the design and production of complex media projects. This includes mobile technology, interactives, and educational multimedia to support the Museum’s collection, exhibitions and related activities, both online and in-gallery. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have created projects that involve interactive storytelling, or cultural/museum-related matters. This position offers candidates opportunities to work with projects of unparalleled content, excellence, innovation, and visibility with an award-winning team. New Stories from the March 2012 MediaStorm Storytelling Workshop

We are pleased to launch two new stories produced in the March 2012 MediaStorm Storytelling Workshop. From March 24-30, 2012 a team of journalists collaborated with MediaStorm at our workshop to create, Remember These Days and A Hundred Different Ways. During the MediaStorm Storytelling Workshop participants work directly with MediaStorm staff to create an intimate, character-driven documentary in just one week. MediaStorm Online Training Launches ‘The Making Of: Surviving the Peace’

In mid-2011 the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) commissioned MediaStorm to create a documentary to profile their work, but more importantly to create a strong, compelling case for the problem they are trying to solve and the impact it has on local populations. Laos, being the most heavily bombed country in history, was chosen as the country to best represent MAG's work. The result was Surviving the Peace. The project brought several challenges with it, including safety concerns, difficult interview conditions, pressing time constraints, and, as almost always, the challenge of combining compelling narrative with historical and promotional information. Dart Society Benefit and Auction May 17

The Dart Society will be holding a benefit and auction at the gallery 25CPW in New York City on Thursday, May 17, beginning at 6 p.m. The benefit will honor Joel Simon of the Committee to Protect Journalists, photojournalist Lynsey Addario, and writer and documentarian Sebastian Junger for their commitment to excellence and compassion in the coverage of conflict, trauma and social injustice. Tickets to the event, which will feature live and silent auctions of photography and books by Dart Society members and their colleagues, are $75 for one ticket and $100 for two. MediaStorm Nominated for 2012 Webby Awards

We are thrilled to announce two MediaStorm projects have been honored by the 2012 Webby Awards. A Thousand More is a nominee for this year's Webby Awards in the Documentary: Individual Episode category. A Thousand More is also in the running for the Webby People's Voice Awards. The People's Voice Awards polls are open from April 10th to April 26th and anyone can vote. A Thousand More is the story of one family’s determination to give their son a whole and vital life.
