The Distance Between Us to screen in competition at the Macon Film Festival

The Macon Film Festival in historic Macon, Georgia, often called the “friendliest film festival” by filmmakers, recently announced their official 2017 line-up, which includes MediaStorm’s feature documentary The Distance Between Us. The film will be in competition in the documentary section, and also eligible for an audience award. The Distance Between Us, an intimate film about the relationship between adult twin brothers Chris and Nick, one of whom was born with cerebral palsy, will screen twice, on Saturday July 22nd at 5:15pm, and on Sunday July 23rd at 3:30pm, both at Theater Macon.  We hope you will check out the film on the big screen if you are in the area, and look out for it on DVD and digitally later this Fall.  To receive regular updates and notification about this film’s availability, please make sure to sign up to our newsletter.

MediaStorm Partners with NeXt Doc

MediaStorm is a proud partner of NeXt Doc, a one-of-a-kind program that brings together emerging documentary storytellers from across the country with award-winning documentary filmmakers to learn, share, and build their skills.   After a successful pilot in 2016, NeXt Doc is returning for its second year at the Carey Institute for Global Good, taking place Monday, June 5 to Friday, June 9, 2017. The five-day intensive program will feature three award-winning filmmakers: Sabaah Folayan, Samuel Pollard and Sonia Kennebeck. Each filmmaker will offer a master class and a screening session of their latest films, followed by an exclusive Q&A for NeXt Doc participants.
