Albuquerque Journal Seeking Videographer/Multimedia Producer

This newly created position of video producer calls for working on breaking news and creating major projects as well as providing training for other journalists. Description: ABQjournal seeks a journalist to join our multimedia newsroom to be the primary source of high quality video editorial and advertising content. Demonstrated experience with Final Cut Pro, AVID or equivalent software is required. Photoshop and Flash experience are a plus. Candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume and a list of links of work samples to dfriedman@abqjournal.com. This person will shoot, gather, select, distribute and edit video clips; and manage and coordinate various video content projects and schedules, including video from the public. MediaStorm Twice Nominated for Broadband Emmy

MediaStorm is a two-time nominee for this year's broadband Emmy award. Kingsley's Crossing by Olivier Jobard and BLOODLINE: AIDS and Family by Kristen Ashburn were both recognized in the Outstanding Documentary/Nonfiction Programming category. Other nominees include Frontline, Washington Post, Detroit Free Press, San Francisco Chronicle, National Geographic and Newsweek. The awards ceremony will take place on September 24 in New York City. Launched June 10, 2007, this community upload website showcases all sorts of multimedia stories, from documentaries to animation. Members each get profiles, and can discuss videos and contact other members. Vince Diga, Shinji Kuwayama, and Jody Sugrue are behind the site- they're still developing the community, so check back for new features as it grows.

I'm excited to welcome Sharon Hoffman as a Senior Producer at MediaStorm. Sharon comes to us from NBC News where she was a senior producer and has over 14 years experience in the network television news business. She has won a number of awards for the projects she has produced and managed, including the DuPont, Peabody and two Emmy awards.
