Moving Forward

Last week’s Presidential election in the United States left many feeling uncertain about the country’s future. It was by any measure a divisive election season. So we’d like to take a moment to reiterate MediaStorm’s core beliefs. Unequivocally, we support the inalienable rights and dignity of every person without regard to race, religion, class, sexual orientation and gender identity, or any other facet of our humanity. We reject the hateful attitudes that have been prominent throughout this election season and stand in solidarity with communities of color, Muslims, immigrants, refugees and displaced people, African Americans, disabled people, LGBTQ people, and any other group that has been targeted. We believe deeply in the power of our shared human experience and we are eager to use authentic, in-depth storytelling to build empathy and act as a bridge between people. We will never lose sight of the fact that it is these communities that need…

MediaStorm Salutes Veterans

  • Post author:

We are proud to document the stories of the men and women who risk their lives to serve and protect our country, and the families that stand behind them. This Veteran’s Day, we honor their sacrifices with these films. The War Comes Home, by Soledad O’Brien and MediaStorm, takes an intimate look at two veterans as they struggle with the transition from war to home. That is simply unacceptable to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, who believes that veterans can become assets to any company. To those who serve in the armed forces, what is the aftereffect of war? The Marlboro Marine is photographer Luis Sinco’s portrait of Marine Corporal James Blake Miller, whom he…
