AI-AP Motion Art Awards Deadline Approaching

American Illustration-American Photography (AI-AP), the leading juried annuals in North America, introduces the inaugural International Motion Art Awards to celebrate photographers, illustrators and designers who make their work move in all media. As a natural (and long-awaited) spin-off to the American Photography and American Illustration award annuals, the IMAAs honor the artist's original and singular vision. Submission Details Eligibility Dates: All work created or broadcast within the 12-month period from September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012. Entry Fees: $25 - all self-initiated, unpublished, personal work in any category; $75 - all commissioned and commercially produced projects in any category; $10 - all work created by a full- or part-time undergrad and graduate students. Submission Deadline: September 21, 2012. Jury: An independent jury will view all work submitted in every category and select the winning collection. MediaStorm Welcomes Joe Fuller

MediaStorm is excited to welcome Joe Fuller, as our motion graphics designer. Fuller is a motion graphic designer, filmmaker, and avid drawer. His motion graphic work on features for the Kansas City Chiefs led to two Regional Emmy’s and several nominations for in stadium and publicity graphics. Fuller entered motion design as a means to combine video with his traditional art background. Through designing show opens for Kansas City Public Television, team intros and promos for various professional sports teams, ad campaigns, and viral videos, he delights in finding graphic solutions that are conceptually and aesthetically sound. Fuller earned his bachelors of fine arts from the Kansas City Art Institute, where he was awarded the Digital Filmmaking mentorship award in 2011.

MediaStorm is looking for a fall intern.  If you're motivated, highly-organized, and passionate about multimedia, we'd love to hear from you. Start date is flexible, the soonest we're looking for someone is August 11.  We're looking for experience in multimedia production, design, motion graphics, and/or programming for web.  Internships will be paid.
