ONA Announces Online Journalism Awards Winners

The Online News Association announced the winners of their annual Online Journalism Awards during their annual conference on September 13. Reuters.com/MediaStorm won the Multimedia Feature, Large Site: category for Bearing Witness, a collaborative site launched on the 5th Anniversary of the Iraq war, featuring profiles of three Reuter’s journalists who have more than 23 years combined experience reporting and photographing in Iraq.   With nearly 800 entrants per category, these awards recognize the best in online journalism. Interactive Narratives 2.0

If you haven't seen it yet, head over to Interactive Narratives, and check out their newly relaunched site.  Originally launched by Andrew DeVigal in 2003, Interactive Narratives is back and better than ever. On the new site, users can view, rate, and submit stories, chat in the forums, check out gear reviews and interviews with multimedia journalists- it's designed to be a "gathering place for multimedia journalists."  With backing from the Online News Association, it will be exciting to see where this goes.
