This year's competition features 44 categories in the divisions of news & reportage, sports, multimedia, editing, publication, and premier. The entry deadline is Thursday, January 16, 2014. 70th Anniversary POYi Competition Open

Pictures of the Year International has launched its 70th anniversary competition to honor the world's premier documentary photography, multimedia, and visual editing. This years' competition features 50 categories, including year-specific categories such as the Olympics and Campaign 2012. Plus, there are two new categories to recognize eBooks in the Best Publications Division. The registration platform is now open. The entry deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013.
