Fay Wells

Fay Wells currently works as an independent consultant, primarily advising media and entertainment companies on content distribution—acquisition and sales—and revenue maximization strategies. Previously, she was the Director of Content Acquisitions at Netflix, where she focused on the global acquisition of independent television and feature content and helped launch Netflix in the Netherlands. Prior to Netflix, she worked at Disney and ESPN Media Networks, as the Director of Business Strategy and Development – Digital Video Distribution. While at ESPN, she also served as an in-country correspondent for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and worked in franchise development on X Games. Prior to her work at Disney and ESPN, she enjoyed stints at the United States Tennis Association, Next New Networks, the Houston Rockets, Disney Sports Attractions, and the Research Triangle Institute. She also wrote the “ESPN X Games” case with Tuck Professor Kevin Lane Keller and has served as a guest speaker at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, New York University, and San Diego State University.



Ms. Wells resides in Los Angeles and is an active member of a number of professional organizations, including the inaugural Booz Digital Leadership Council—a targeted group of digital industry leaders united to help solve problems in and shape digital strategies for companies across a variety of industries. She recently served on the board of directors of the New York Chapter of Women in Cable and Telecommunications, on the board of directors of GMHC, and on the executive committee of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of New York City.



She earned an A.B. in Sociology from Duke University, an MEd in Sports Management from the University of Georgia, and an MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
