Adelina Cooper is an associate professor and program chair in the Department of Visual Arts & Media at the University of Mount Union where she has been teaching and mentoring media students since 2007. She earned her Ph.D. in Journalism and Communication from The Ohio State University, an M.A. in Media, and a B.A. in communication from The University of Akron.
Adelina’s interest spans short and long-form narrative, multimedia storytelling, documentary film production, and social media strategies. A dedicated advocate for social justice, her research focuses on trans narratives in media, exploring representation and its influence on cultural understanding.
