MediaStorm is looking for a passionate and motivated multimedia producer/cinematographer to create compelling multimedia pieces for our publication, workshops and clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience producing in both linear and interactive storytelling formats. Strong narrative writing skills as well as audio, video, and picture editing experience is required.
Description
MediaStorm multimedia producers/cinematographer will:
- Produce cutting-edge multimedia pieces
- Work with and guide photographers, filmmakers, audio reporters, and musicians
- Write scripts and introductions for voice-over narration
- Evaluate multimedia submissions for possible publication
- Conceive innovative storytelling approaches to further MediaStorm’s storytelling mission
- Work with interactive designers and project managers to establish production timelines
- Participate in client meetings and work with content sources to fulfill our client’s production needs
- Write blog posts
- Teach multimedia storytelling and lead original reporting efforts at our workshops
Qualifications
The successful applicant should have:
- Experience shooting with HDSLRs is a strong plus
- A passion for interactive, multimedia storytelling
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse team
- Ability to self-manage and meet aggressive deadlines
- Ability to work virtually and to travel as necessary
- At least two years of experience in multimedia journalism
- Strong broadcast and multimedia writing skills
- Professional video or picture editing experience a plus
- Knowledge of Final Cut, Aperture, Photoshop
