Emily Strong is a documentary filmmaker and location sound mixer committed to collaborating on authentic and inspiring stories from diverse perspectives that incite civil discourse, connectivity, and express humanity in an artful way.
Especially drawn to projects with psychological, human behavior, immigration, food, and culture focuses. Collaborations include: Producer on Keep Moving Forward (Big Sky Documentary Film Festival Official Selection) and A Letter For Sang-Ah (CAAMFest Loni Ding Award for Social Justice, St. Louis International Film Festival Official Selection); former Programs and Engagement Manager at four time Academy Award-nominated documentary production company, Kartemquin Films (Minding the Gap dir. Many of her most exciting adventures in documentary are through her work as a location sound mixer. A lifelong affinity for listening and learning has provided her opportunities to work as a sound recorder on notable documentary, journalistic, fiction, branded content, and reality projects.
