Based in New York, Erik Madigan Heck’s photography and films explore the intersections among fashion, painting, and classical portraiture. Since earning his MFA in Photography and Film Related Studies from Parsons School of Design, he has brought a unique creative vision to advertising and editorial clients ranging from BMW, Levi’s, and Eres, toVanity Fair,W,The New York Times,TIME andThe New Yorker.
In 2012, Neiman Marcus commissioned Erik to photograph its “Art of Fashion” portfolio and to create three accompanying short films, making him the youngest photographer in the history of Neiman Marcus’s to shoot the legendary campaign.
He has also collaborated with some of the industry’s most exclusive designers: Ann Demeulemeester, Haider Ackermann, Comme des Garcons, Rochas, Giambattista Valli, Kenzo, Mary Katrantzou, and the Row, among others. In 2012, he was a finalist inW magazine’s “The Shot” contest.
Erik Madigan Heck is the recipient of the 2013 ICP Infinity Award for Applied/Fashion/Advertising.
