Indaia Whitcombe is a folklorist and documentary storyteller. She studied documentary art at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University and spent a year documenting the neighborhood of South Boston, Massachusetts as a Lewis Hine Fellow. Indaia received a Master's in Visual Media from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Roy H. Park Fellow. She also holds an MA in Folklore from UNC with a focus in participatory research and ethnographic storytelling. While many projects have taken her across the globe, she now works to document the stories of her island community on Martha’s Vineyard.
