I am employed at Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR)– the national Danish public service broadcaster. I am a journalist working at “21Søndag” – a television program airing Sunday night at 9. I work in the whole process of producing quite long format television stories (8-12 minutes) for our program. The program is a hybrid of news/current affairs, politics, trends etc. It is newsy sometimes, background or more investigative at other times.
I graduaded from the Danish school of Media and Journalism in 1992 and started my professional life in journalism as an intern at a local television station in Copenhagen. After that, I worked at a commercial television production company for a couple of years. For the last 20 years, I have been working at DR, producing all thinkable tv-formats. Most recently, I spent a couple of years in the documentaries department. All along with a great interest in working with developing my storytelling.
However, on all levels, we are discussing how to become more digital, and that will also be a point of focus for me in the future. How that will influence the storytelling is my main point of interest. Especially as we as a public service broadcaster have an obligation to tell stories, which are important, but not always visual.
