Nicola von Hollander, editor, reporter, (script-) writer works for a media program for German public television network, the NDR (North German TV) in Hamburg. Their program, called "Zapp,“ is the first show in German television focusing on media. They look behind the storefront of media houses and on the media market. Before filming they think about the storytelling.
Her journalism career started in print, working for small and local newspapers. After two years in Brazil, she returned with stories that took her to radio, where she worked as a freelancer until applying for a traineeship at NDR. Afterwards she worked as political journalist for a radio program, and continued reporting for radio and television. Then eight years as a filmmaker and editor for an investigative program called "Panorama" in the ARD, the first german public television.
