Larry Taylor is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Communication at Appalachian State University. His teaching responsibilities include writing, graphics, layout & design and multimedia content production primarily within the journalism sequence. Before becoming a professor, Taylor worked as a journalist in North Carolina at both daily and community newspapers.
Taylor has a rich history of adapting and engaging new technology during both his academic and professional careers. While a journalist in the late 1990s he played key roles in adapting digital technology in areas ranging from pagination to Web media content production. As a professor, Taylor continues to enthusiastically engage the challenges higher education faces adapting a traditional curriculum to embrace the incredible effects technology continues to bring.
