I'm a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (and dropout...long story, will tell you about it over a couple of beers), philosophy undergraduate BA (surprisingly useful), international multimedia journalism MA, and professional vagabond that is grateful to somehow be able to take photos and make videos for a living all over the world. My specialty over the last few years has been brand storytelling for Trek Bikes, but I've recently decided to switch it up and am currently the Director of Multimedia for Americares, an NGO in the disaster relief and health sector. I also help teach the Tokyo Photo Workshop for National Geographic's Student Expedition in the summer when my schedule allows. Best thing I ever did for my multimedia career was live abroad (especially in the "developing" world) for over 12 years in many countries in Africa, Asia, and South America. Nothing rewires your brain to be a professional observer...as well as simultaneously humbles and animates your soul quite like living somewhere where everything fascinates and confuses you.
